During a safari in the Okavango Delta in Botswana, I had the great pleasure to see a magnificent specimen of leopard. Like a vision in the branches of the bush, he appeared illuminated by the morning light. I've never seen an animal more beautiful.

If the king of the jungle is the lion, the leopard is certainly the prince. The difficulty to paint a leopard is to distinguish the two types of shadows and lights in the fur. The true darkness of the shadows and that of the spots, the lights other than white hair.

It requires technique and patience to be able to make the white hairs that enter the dark spots and dark in the white coat visible. But beyond the technology, the luminous appearance of a prince in his kingdom remains etched in my memory ...
